NexGen digital book! Awesome! I love books.

I like how the design plays with the materials’ characteristic: rubbery/elastic. It’s a funky design, and very different from a traditional sink!
I’ve been following a bit of design in China, and this one finally grabbed my full attention. A homeware design company that plays beautifully off of traditional Chinese products and elegantly designs it with contemporary styles.
For you, Mish :P
I feel the need to share this article because it brought back a theme I have lost in the past years, going through school and then working in a design team for very medically-oriented products — Beauty.
I had forgotten how, before even going to art college, high school art class was a huge discussion about art being about beauty, being about social critique, being about god-knows-what.
And as I grew, I learned that part of beauty was the intricacies - in the details, in the pleasantries, in the little surprises, even functionally speaking…
Anyway, this article talks about beauty - mostly in an urban scape - and how subjective it is, even suspect, and how possibly it’s been lost.
My buddies from college have a design studio in Brooklyn and finally got their first product manufactured, and ready to sell!!
So proud!!
